Grizzly (the father) is a fully registered Newfoundland. Grizzly has been certified from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc. as having normal patellar luxation and no evidence of congential cardiac disease or hip dysplasia. Willow, (the mother) is a full blooded Landseer. Willow's parents were tested and had no issues either.

However, once they are through growing they eat about as much a labrodor retriever. Even though they are large dogs, they do not need huge backyards. However, if you live in the south, these dogs do need to either be allowed inside or have a dog house that is kept cool.

What is the difference between a Landseer puppy and Newfoundland puppy?
In North America, Newfoundland and Landseer are considered the same breed. However, Landseer puppies have the distinct black and white coloring. Newfoundland puppies can be solid brown, solid black, or brown and white.
How big do Landseer and Newfoundland dogs get?
Newfoundland puppies and Landseer puppies grow into very large dogs. A full grown male Newfoundland or Landseer will weigh between 130 and 150 pounds. The females usually weight between 90-120 pounds. These dogs are big enough to put their head on most tables without lifting their heads up.
